Product design lead from concept to launch
Like many sectors, the legal industry is facing massive change: digitisation is disrupting the status quo and companies who don't adapt risk being swept aside. Millennials are increasingly turning away from traditional legal firms and towards internet based offerings. We were approached to help the client enhance their offering by building a digital "law on demand" service in an effort to capture back the millennial market.

Given the client was coming from a non-technical background, locase was heavily involved with the creation of this product from the outset, leading product design and development. This encompassed tasks ranging from initial mapping of user flow through the service through to sourcing and working closely with the developer who built the project. We also handled all branding work – from facilitating a collaborative naming process, through to logo development and creation of brand style.
An unconventional brand image for a legal business
Many approaches were considered, but the consensus was that picking up on the theme of "speed" would be engaging for the desired audience, for whom instant access to services and info is important. The branding and graphic style was created to reflect that theme. The resulting logo is simple, iconic and memorable. The typographic style hints at a "futuristic", space-age feel, without getting too nerdy.
